Replace an Acer Aspire 5920 Keyboard

Whether you want to simply replace a damaged keyboard or disassemble your entire Acer Aspire 5520 Keyboard, you are going to need to remove the keyboard that is currently on the computer. The good news is that this process doesn't require a lot of time or much technical knowledge. And if you replace the Acer Aspire 5920 keyboard, not only will you save a lot of cash, but you may even learn a little about your computer in the process.
Power off your Acer laptop and unplug the AC power cable. Close the display and turn the unit upside down.
Unplug the battery pack from its compartment on the underside of the computer.
Turn the computer right-side up and open the display so that you have complete access to the Acer Aspire 4520 Keyboard.
Use your fingers to pry the keyboard bezel (rectangular plastic frame above the keyboard) up from its end and remove it.
Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove all three screws located just above the Acer Aspire 5710 Keyboard.Lift the keyboard up and unplug the thick ribbon cable from the port in the back of the keyboard. Place the old keyboard aside.
Plug the ribbon cable into the back of the new Acer Aspire 5315 Keyboard and fit the keyboard over the computer. Replace the screws, bezel and battery.
